Important terracotta sculpture signed by the sculptor Josep Llimona Bruguera. It is probably an early work, possibly of its academic period, which is inspired by the famous Penitent Magdalene by the Italian neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova (1757-1822).
The sculpture is preserved in very good condition. It only lacks the cross that Canova’s original model holds in her hands, and hypothetically a skull that could have been next to the Magdalene.
