Height: 26 cm
Alabaster sculpture from Trapani School that copies, with smaller sizes, the famous Madonna de Trapani, originally carved by Nino Pisano in the second third of the fourteenth century for a priest of Cyprus and currently worshiped at the convent of the Annunziata in Trapani (Sicily). The base is represented by the Trapani shield (a bridge with five columns or towers), despite the lack of polychrome. The piece keeps in its entirety unless for a small loss of a balustrade on the base.
From private collection of Catalonia.
